Mayor Michael Nutter Visits Arcweb, Philly Tech Community [Media Wrap Up]

Share Article

Friday was a big day at Arcweb HQ. We had over 150 friends (new and old!) attend the Arcweb Open House at which we “officially” set up shop at 234 Market Street. The day also featured a ribbon cutting, supported by one of the city’s biggest proponents of the local tech community, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter.

Building a digital product?

Here’s what the Mayor had to say…

“The is a community that we pay a tremendous amount of attention to. You’re bringing people to the city, creating this entrepreneurial, startup, tech-savvy hub that Philadelphia is and will continue to grow.” (Technically Philly)

And here’s a quick news clip from CBS3…

The Philadelphia Business Journal’s Lauren Hertzler also attended the Open House, capturing Arcweb CTO Chris Cera’s comments and his “nod” to the corporate folks who joined in the N3RD Street celebration…

“I just think about what exists now that didn’t seven years ago. What’s happening here is truly amazing… It’s hard for a small business to do business with larger companies and I think as much as the larger corporations here can do business with the smaller companies here, that’s going to help the community grow exponentially faster than it otherwise would.”

Steve Tawa of KYW 1060 also covered the event.
